New comfort kit for Moana Economy passengers

New kit Moana Economy

Papeete, May 29th, 2025

Air Tahiti Nui is pleased to introduce its new comfort set for passengers traveling in Moana Economy class. Its new design, featuring colors and patterns inspired by the Polynesian islands, is printed with plant-based ink on paper packaging. The kit includes a pair of earphones, provided upon boarding, as well as socks and a sleep mask, both available on request during the flight.

Now available to all passengers flying in Moana Economy, this new kit was created in collaboration with Formia, an agency specializing in travel accessory design. The packaging is entirely plastic-free, printed with plant-based inks and FSC Mixed certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, ensuring responsible forest management.

The evolution of onboard comfort items is the result of a collaborative effort aligned with Air Tahiti Nui’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy, aimed at reducing waste and replacing single-use plastics with sustainable alternatives. Items that are less frequently used will now be distributed upon request.

The new Moana Economy comfort kit includes a pair of reusable earphones compatible with a wide range of devices. They will be placed on each seat prior to boarding, allowing passengers to fully enjoy the in-flight entertainment system.

The kit also includes a pair of socks and a sleep mask decorated with ape leaf patterns and made from bamboo fiber. The socks, mask, and noise-reducing earplugs will be available to all passengers upon request during the flight.

Passengers can also enjoy a pillow and blanket for added comfort.
